Flamenco In Oregon Flamenco Puro A remarkable troupe of authentic Spanish Gypsies and Flamenco artists have taken up permanent residence in Oregon and tour the Pacific Northwest. Flamenco Puro was formed in 1994. The group is a collaboration of dancers and musicians, each with over 20 years professional experience performing in Spain and other parts of the world. The group has been performing regularly in the Pacific North West and other parts of the U.S. The group is dedicated to presenting authentic flamenco. (Flamenco Puro website) Roberto Lorenz (flamenco guitarist) was born in England to a Gypsy father, and began playing the guitar at the age of 11. He has lived and performed in the city of Sevilla, in southern Spain, and also in France, Mexico, England and the Middle East.
